INTERNATIONAL pressure must be exerted to force Burma's military regime to waive restrictions on aid for victims of Friday's cyclone, Burma Campaign UK Patron GLENYS KINNOCK today urged. The Euro-MP said that unless the severe conditions on aid were eased, the disaster death toll, which is already estimated at up to 22,000, would rise dramatically.

NEW provisions for closer co-operation between EU countries in the fight against terrorism and cross-border crime were today welcomed by Wales Euro-MPs Glenys Kinnock and Eluned Morgan. The plans will improve the exchange of DNA data, fingerprints and other information between police forces in EU countries.

THE European Parliament Socialist Group today refused to take part in a vote on Zimbabwe, having earlier refused to sign a motion on the crisis in the country. The Group said the resolution and debate would not gain anything in terms of supporting the democratic process in the country.

PLANS to tackle the shortage of organ donors by introducing an EU-wide donor card were today backed by Wales Euro-MPs Glenys Kinnock and Eluned Morgan. The Labour MEPs are supporting a European Parliament report urging greater co-operation between EU countries to address the shortage of organ donors and crackdown on the illegal trade in the trafficking of organs.
